Debian

Since Debian Lenny is out, you can download dtc directly from your usual debian repository, as DTC has been integrated in Debian. This will get you setup with the stable version of DTC. In case you wish to use Etch, you can use the Lenny packages, they also work with that Debian flavor. If you wish to use a more advanced and recent version of DTC, you can use our repository. All files can be downloaded from one of our public ftp :

Get the latest sources using Git

You will need the git user tools. In Debian, you can do:

apt-get install git-core curl

to get it. You can later use our Git master server using the folowing command:

git clone http://git.gplhost.com/dtc.git
# Make DTC binary debian packages
cd dtc
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
# You can make other packages as well:
make bsd-ports-packages

Note that we currently don't use the bin folder of the dtc sources anymore, and that we have not yet addresed the build for other distributions. However a "make install DESTDIR=/" should work for most distributions.
